Internships

The Museum’s Internship Program provides college undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates with a wide range of experiences designed to provide insight into the daily workings of a professional museum environment. In addition to working on meaningful projects with museum staff, interns engage in a series of meetings, workshops, offsite visits to arts and cultural institutions, and public programs.

Summer interns work alongside Studio Museum staff at administrative offices in Harlem as construction begins on our new building. Exhibitions and programming continues at partner sites through inHarlem, a dynamic set of collaborative programs in our neighborhood.

The following internships are be available for the Summer 2019 season: Archives, Communications, Curatorial, Development, Director’s Office, Education, Public Programs & Community Engagement, and Registrar.

Applicants may select a first and second choice for positions they would like to be considered for. Due to the high volume of applications, only candidates who have been selected for interviews will be contacted directly regarding their application status.
